The NFL's Wild Card Weekend is here, beginning with three games on Saturday. The schedule for Saturday features these three games:
Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills, 1:05 pm ET
Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks, 4:40 pm ET
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team, 8:15 pm ET
We know that some players are going to score touchdowns this weekend - and touchdown props offer some nice value when considering a betting strategy.
Here are five guys to bet on scoring a touchdown this NFL Saturday.
Jonathan Taylor, Indianapolis
Jonathan Taylor has become the bell cow back for the Colts offense. In his last six games, the Indianapolis rookie is averaging 19.8 carries per game and now gets a vulnerable Bills run defense.
For the Colts offense, it starts on the ground. Taylor rushed for a mammoth 253 yards a week ago and should have plenty of opportunities to get in the end zone.
Taylor is currently -125 to score a touchdown. The rookie has an astounding seven touchdowns in his last four games. With this game having the second-highest projected point total of the weekend, Taylor is a safe bet to score.
Stefon Diggs, Buffalo
Sticking with the Bills-Colts game, which has a projected over at 51.5 points, we look for the Bills' top receiver, Stefon Diggs. Diggs is questionable to play but seems poised to be in the lineup.
The Bills offense is pass-first, and as Josh Allen's top weapon, Diggs is well-positioned to get in the end zone. The leading receiver in all of the NFL is currently at -105 odds to score a touchdown. As the focal point of this offensive attack, it's a strong bet.
Cam Akers, Los Angeles
Cam Akers, the rookie running back for the Rams, is an intriguing touchdown prop on Saturday as the clear goal-line back for Los Angeles. In the last four games he's played, Akers has 23 red zone looks.
In those games, Malcolm Brown had just one carry, while the receivers combined for just eight targets. When the Rams get close, they turn to Akers. The rookie is currently +100 to score a touchdown.
Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay
Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski has three touchdowns in his last four games and remains one of Tom Brady's favorite targets.
Gronkowski is second on the team in red-zone targets, and if Mike Evans does not play, he would take the top spot.
The Tampa Bay-Washington game is expected to be low-scoring, with two top defenses going at it. In a grind-it-out game, the Bucs may have more red-zone opportunities instead of their usual big plays down the field.
This game script fits perfectly into Gronkowski's game, and at +190 to score a touchdown, it's strong value. There should be no doubt that Gronkowski knows what it takes to win in the playoffs. He's coming on strong to end the season and gearing up for another big playoff performance.
Chris Carson, Seattle
Carson seems to be comfortably the top weapon out of Seattle's backfield. Whether it's on the ground or through the air, he should be a big part of their game plan and thus is a good choice to score a touchdown.
Carson is currently -110 to score. This is a volume play, as in the Seahawks' last three games, Carson has 49 touches or 16.3 per game. Russell Wilson will find a way to move the ball against this tough Rams defense, and Carson seems poised to benefit.
