Those looking forward to the conclusion of "Odell Watch" will have to wait a bit longer.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Kim Jones, free-agent receiver Odell Beckham expects to take some time before deciding on his next team, a day after clearing waivers following his release from the Browns. OBJ's high-profile decision should be "a few days away," according to Jones.
After stating that the decision "may take a long," Rapoport stated on NFL Now that the Chiefs, Packers, Seahawks, Patriots, and Saints are among the teams that "have offers out to Odell Beckham or considerable interest."
The Buccaneers were one noticeable team left out of the study, which should come as no surprise given Bruce Arians' Wednesday morning statements. Despite the current health issues plaguing Tampa's receiving corps, Arians downplayed the idea of adding OBJ, joking that they'd have "too many letters" already with A.B. (Antonio Brown) in the mix.
Beckham is relishing the opportunity to choose his future NFL home for the first time in his career, so it's fair that he's taking his time. And, like the rest of the sports world, while the 29-year-old wideout continues to evaluate, the suitors in the running for his services will undoubtedly be vigilant and patient.
