Players to Watch in Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills Wild Card Playoff Game

The first AFC game of Wild Card Weekend will feature the No. 2 Buffalo Bills playing host to the No. 7 Indianapolis Colts. The game is Saturday at 1:05 P.M. Eastern on CBS, and despite being the first game of the weekend, it should be one of the best games of the Wild Card slate.

The Colts are coming off a 28-14 win over Jacksonville that helped clinch a playoff spot, while the Bills destroyed the Dolphins' playoff hopes with a 56-26 win. Indianapolis has won four of five, while Buffalo has lost just once in their last ten games.

Let’s break down a few of the players to watch for daily fantasy and player props.

Player to Watch: Jonathan Taylor

Taylor, the Colts' rookie running back, is coming off a monster 253-yard performance and now gets a vulnerable Buffalo run defense. Taylor has solidified himself as the top back for this Colts offense, averaging 19.8 carries per game in his last six. The Colts offense runs through Taylor and his six yards per carry.

According to PFF, the Bills' run defense comes in ranked 30th in the NFL, while the Colts rushing attack is ranked third. That’s a massive disparity, and the rookie is poised for a big game on Saturday. Taylor has also scored at least one rushing or receiving touchdown in each of the past five games.

Player to Watch: Stefon Diggs

The Bills offense starts and ends with the pass. Josh Allen’s MVP-esque year has been made possible by the presence of Diggs, the former Viking.

Diggs leads the NFL in receptions and receiving yards and is looking at another big game as the Bills attempt a Super Bowl run.

To put into context just how pivotal Diggs is in the Bills' offense: Diggs leads the team with 134 targets. Cole Beasley is next, with 107, and then the third-highest is Gabriel Davis, with only 62.

Allen is always going to look Diggs’ way, and the receiver is on a tear that the middling Colts secondary should struggle to slow down. In his last five games, Diggs is averaging an astounding 118 yards per game.

The Colts' secondary has been getting gashed by receivers recently, surrendering 216.8 yards per game to WRs the last five weeks.

Diggs should be locked into daily fantasy lineups this weekend.

Player to Watch: Gabriel Davis

Staying with the Bills receivers, Davis is another name to watch in this game. With Cole Beasley reportedly week-to-week, Davis will remain the No. 2 option in this passing game.

As discussed, the Bills' offensive identity is built around their passing game. Save for Week 17, in which he was afforded some rest, Davis has played on average 94% of the snaps.

This is a prime opportunity on a high-volume offense, and Davis has gotten at least five targets in each of the last four games. The deep threat in this offense, look for Allen to find him on a deep pass or two to stretch the field.
