This season, the NFL anticipates sold-out stadiums, but organisers still remain vary.
Thirty-two of the NFL's 32 teams have received authority to open to full capacity ahead of the preseason, with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos still awaiting approval.
This season, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell expects sold-out stadiums, and players and staff are being pushed to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
"Thirty-two teams are going to have to follow health officials on a local basis, do whatever is necessary to keep all personnel safe. But we do think it will be a much more normal experience. We do expect full stadiums."
"But those are things that I think we’ll continue to follow closely, make sure that were doing in accordance with all laws and regulations and make sure that we provide our fans the best possible experience", Goodell said.
The Colts and Broncos do not have permission to run at full capacity but are on a path to get approval before August.
The league's COVID-19 protocols have been modified, and numerous restrictions for fully vaccinated players have been lifted.
