Aaron Rodgers isn't backing down nearly two months after saying "I own you" at a Chicago Bears fan who reacted to his touchdown celebration with two middle fingers.

He's doubling down, if anything.

The Packers will face the Bears for the second time this season on Sunday night, and Rodgers' highly publicised, off-the-cuff remark will be put to the test once more. His self-assurance is unwavering.

"I don't know if you can question a whole lot of what I said. We've had a good record over the years against them and won a lot of games," Rodgers said Wednesday, via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette.

With the 24-14 triumph at Soldier Field on Oct. 17, Rodgers increased his career record against the Bears to 22-5, including playoff games. After Rodgers won the victory with a 6-yard touchdown run, his statement was caught up by broadcast microphones.

Jimmy Graham, a seasoned tight end with the Bears, took no offence to Rodgers' hot-mic moment.

"We've just got to stop them," Graham said.

That's easier said than done, though Rodgers has hinted that his Bears ownership may face a reckoning at some point.

"At some point, it will be used against me. It is what it is. I don't regret saying it at all," Rodgers added.

Bears supporters will need their club to pull off an unlikely upset on Sunday to use Rodgers' own remarks against him without having to wait until next year.

Justin Fields, the Bears' promising rookie quarterback, has been medically cleared to play for the first time since Week 11, but defeating the Packers will not be easy.

Since Green Bay's road victory over Chicago, the Packers have dominated the NFC North, owning the NFL's largest division lead (together with the Buccaneers), while the Bears have sunk to 4-8.

The Bears last defeated the Packers, 24-17, at Soldier Field in 2018.

As long as Rodgers is the losing quarterback, the next one can't come soon enough for Bears supporters, and one in particular.
