The Tennessee Titans announced that former Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz would serve as their new Senior Defensive Assistant.
Reports say Jim Schwartz wanted a change of scenery, and that’s what he will get rather than contemplating retirement as he desired back in 2020, he is now on a new venture.
Brent Dougherty shared the news that Schwartz would be accepting a unique role on Mike Vrabel’s staff in Tennessee.
"We are excited to add Jim to our staff," Vrabel said in a statement. "He has a deep level of football knowledge and has overseen a great deal of success on the defensive side of the ball, so it always good to add a quality coach to our staff. This role will provide our defensive staff with Jim's experience and perspective in the staff meetings and on the practice field."
The Eagles hired James J. Schwartz known as Jim in back in late 2016, and he has spent 27 incredible years in the NFL; he was also head coach of the Detroit Lions from 2009 to 2013 and defensive coordinator for the Tennessee Titans from 2001 to 2008. He is now back home, where he belongs.
Schwarts adds a familiar face and an experienced pair of eyes from all his years within the National Football League.
