Daniel "Colt" McCoy, the American football quarterback, was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round of the 2010 NFL Draft after playing college football for the University of Texas.

McCoy is now entering his 12th season in the NFL and has officially signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals. 

ESPN reported that McCoy would move on from the Giants, where he backed up Daniel Jones in 2020, to the Cardinals, where the former Texas star will be the understudy of former Oklahoma standout Kyler Murray.

 

Colt McCoy is one of the most experienced reserve QBs left on the market, and he will be a great addition to the backside of the team. 

 

McCoy spent the most of 2020 as Daniel Jones' back up, appearing in games for New York, going 1-1 as a starter to help the NFC East race. He the season completed40-of-66 passes for 375 yards, a touchdown, and an interception.

 

McCoy's NFL days began with three seasons for the Browns, where he garnered 21 of his30 career starts over his initial two seasons.

 

The34-year-old will bring vast experience to the Cardinals' QB and offer some experienced backup for the Arizona team.
